Been missing poetry in Nashville?? Imani Rhema, host of Nashville's premiere poetry venue, Soul Food Poetry Cafe, presents Phoenix Fest, a live music and spoken word concert benefiting Phoenix, one of the twin sons of acclaimed national spoken word artist, Geovanni Marcel. Phoenix was born with a rare congenital heart defect, TETRALOGY OF FALLOT and will not survive without a sequence of very expensive surgeries. ALL proceeds of this event will go towards his fund. Featured artists scheduled to perform are the SFPC 2012 People's Choice Award Winner Dichotomy the Poet, the award-winning Godfather and Godmother of spoken word, all the way from Charlotte NC, Max Parthas and Tribal Raine, the very talented soulstress Saaneah, Neo-Soul sensation Jerami Matlock, and Nashville's #1 Soul Band Black Diamond!!
